Our love of natural and handmade took root in founder Michelle Rivera’s backyard. Her family had a need for fresh projects and a deep connection with the earth and seasons. Since most workshops were out of her price range, Michelle started small, using natural dyes for wool and learning to felting and knitting. When it came time for celebration and ritual, she made elaborate displays and told stories with her crafts. She began to tap into different forms of creativity, connect with her family and saw that many could benefit. She began hosting craft nights, knitting groups and small circles of people looking to connect with each other and their hands.
Michelle had to extend the vision of handmade designer and began to create things for every day use. She also saw the benefit of teaching others to create and igniting a spark within their creativity. She believes that we've been circling in order to create for thousands of years and hopes to pass that tradition on to future generations.
